All Cars In Uganda To Undergo Mandatory Inspection.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has announced that all cars on Ugandan roads will undergo a mandatory inspection for road worthiness come 1st July 2025. The Ministry has already taken over the SGS facilities that were built across the country in different regions. This will commence gradually, between March and June, with trainings, sensitization of the public, and then come 1st July, Mandatory Motor Vehicle Inspection will start in full force,  Gen Katumba Wamala Minister of Works and Transport announced on his X handle.

The ministry will make any further details available regarding the fees to be paid for car inspection.
